Plan Your Rest Before You Plan Your Work

Most people plan their work first and hope rest will somehow fit around it. It rarely does. Rest gets squeezed, shortened, skipped — and then you wonder why you're burned out by Wednesday.
Flip the order. When you plan your week, block your rest time first: sleep, meals, exercise, downtime. Then build your work around what remains. It feels counterintuitive, but you'll find you get more done — not less — because you're working from a recharged state.
The point
If rest isn't scheduled, it gets squeezed out — put it in the calendar first.
