What to Do If Someone Faints

H howtolive.guide ·

If you see someone starting to faint, try to catch them to prevent a head injury from the fall — this is often the most dangerous part. Lay them flat on their back and elevate their legs about 12 inches to help blood return to the brain. Loosen any tight clothing around the neck and waist. They should regain consciousness within about a minute. If they don't wake within one minute, or if they hit their head during the fall, call emergency services immediately. Once they wake up, don't let them stand up too quickly — have them sit for several minutes first and offer water.

The point
Catch them, lay them flat, elevate their legs, and call emergency services if they don't wake within one minute.
