How to Reheat Leftovers Without Ruining Them

The microwave is the default reheating method, but it's often the worst one. It dries out food, makes bread soggy, and turns crispy things limp. Different foods need different reheating methods.
For pizza: skip the microwave entirely — heat it in a skillet with a lid for 3-4 minutes. The bottom gets crispy, the cheese melts. For rice and grains: sprinkle a little water on top and microwave covered — the steam rehydrates them. For roasted meat: oven at 150°C, covered loosely with foil, until warmed through. For soups and stews: stovetop, low heat, stir occasionally. The extra minute of choosing the right method makes leftovers taste almost as good as fresh.
The point
Different foods need different reheating methods — matching the method to the food makes leftovers taste almost fresh.
