Freeze Leftover Wine in Ice Cube Trays for Cooking

That half glass of wine nobody is going to drink tomorrow does not have to go down the drain. Pour it into ice cube trays and freeze it. Wine cubes keep for months and are perfect for cooking — deglazing pans, building sauces, braising meat, or adding depth to stews.

Once frozen, transfer the cubes to a labeled freezer bag (red and white separately). Each cube is roughly two tablespoons. Having wine ready to go means you will actually use it in recipes instead of skipping that step or opening a fresh bottle for two tablespoons.
