Once you understand how something works, you genuinely can't remember what it felt like to be confused by it. This is the curse of knowledge, and it's behind most bad teaching, unclear instructions, and frustrated communication. The expert taps out a melody and wonders why the listener can't recognize it — forgetting they can only hear random taps. When explaining anything, start from where the other person is, not where you are.
