Waiting Until You're "Ready" to Seek Help

"I'll go to therapy when I'm really struggling." "I'll ask for help when it gets bad enough." The problem is that readiness doesn't arrive on its own schedule — it comes through the act of starting. Waiting to feel ready is like waiting to feel like exercising: you mostly feel like it after you've already begun.
Most people who have been to therapy say the same thing: they wish they'd started sooner. Not because things were secretly worse than they thought, but because there's no reason to carry more than you need to carry. Seeking help before you're at rock bottom is not weakness — it's planning ahead.
The point
You don't need to wait until things are unbearable to ask for help — readiness comes from starting, not from waiting.
