Sit Like Your Back Has a Future

Nobody thinks about posture until their back starts complaining — and by that point, months of slouching have already reshaped muscles and joints. The fix is not about sitting perfectly straight all day. It is about frequent position changes: adjust your chair height so your feet rest flat, keep your screen at eye level, and stand up every 30 to 45 minutes even if just for a minute.
A cheap lumbar cushion and a monitor riser do more for desk workers than most expensive ergonomic chairs. Your spine was not designed for eight hours of stillness in any position. The best posture is always the next one.
The point
Change your sitting position often and keep your screen at eye level — your back will carry you longer if you stop ignoring it.

I'm 35 with back problems from 10 years of bad posture at a desk. Trust me, your 25-year-old self thinks this doesn't apply to you. It does. Get a good chair and a standing desk now.
28 here, already feeling it. Just ordered a lumbar support. This comment scared me into action.
