Motivation gets you to the gym once. A recurring calendar block gets you there fifty times. The people who exercise consistently do not have more willpower than you — they have a system. They put a workout on Tuesday and Thursday at 7 AM the same way they put a work call at 10, and they treat both with equal seriousness.

Start embarrassingly small: fifteen minutes, twice a week, at the same time. Once the slot becomes automatic, intensity and duration grow on their own. The hardest part of any workout is not the last rep — it is deciding to show up. Remove the decision, and the habit builds itself.
