Every time you share a Google Doc, Dropbox folder, or OneDrive file, that link stays active until you revoke it. Over months and years, you accumulate dozens of open doors — some leading to sensitive documents, old contracts, or personal notes you forgot were accessible.
Set a quarterly reminder to open your cloud storage sharing settings and review who has access to what. You will almost certainly find links shared with people you no longer work with, or public links you created for a one-time purpose. Revoking takes seconds. The risk of not doing it compounds silently.
