Name Your Calendar Blocks by Outcome, Not Activity
A block labeled "Writing" is easy to fill with anything that looks like writing — reorganizing notes, tweaking fonts, rereading old drafts. A block labeled "Finish Section 2, First Draft" gives you nowhere to hide. You either did it or you did not.
Rewrite your recurring blocks with a concrete outcome instead of a category: not "Emails," but "Inbox to zero." Not "Admin," but "Invoices sent." At the end of the block, you will know instantly whether the time actually worked.
The point
A block named after an activity is easy to fill with busywork — name it after a concrete outcome so you can tell instantly if the time worked.
