Emergency Numbers — Why You Should Save Them Now

H howtolive.guide ·

Everyone knows 911 or 112, but in a real emergency your hands shake, your mind goes blank, and you may not remember specialized numbers you need. Save these in your phone today: local police non-emergency line, poison control center, your doctor, your nearest hospital, gas and electricity emergency lines, a trusted neighbor, and your emergency contact.

Label them clearly — "ICE" (In Case of Emergency) contacts are recognized by first responders who check your phone if you are unconscious. Set up your phone's emergency medical ID with blood type, allergies, and medications — both iPhone and Android support this feature. It takes five minutes to set up, and it could save your life or someone else's when seconds matter and clear thinking is impossible.

The point
Save emergency numbers, set up your phone's medical ID, and label ICE contacts — five minutes of setup can save a life when thinking is impossible.

I saved my emergency contacts as ICE (In Case of Emergency) in my phone. Paramedics actually look for this. Also added my blood type and allergies to the medical ID on my lock screen.
