I started logging actual task durations against my estimates in a spreadsheet. After 60 entries, my average underestimation was 2.1x. Now I just double everything without thinking — and I'm suddenly the most reliable person on any project I join.
Everything Takes Longer Than You Think 1 week agoВсе мелкие бытовые дела — аптека, банк, почта, магазин — стараюсь делать в один выход в среду вечером. Раньше мотался по одному делу три раза в неделю. Теперь один блок за полтора часа, и голова свободна.
Batch Similar Tasks to Save Your Mental Energy 2 weeks agoStayed at a toxic job 2 years longer than I should have because of "loyalty." When I finally left, I realized loyalty should be mutual. If the company wouldn't be loyal to you, don't set yourself on fire to keep them warm.
Know When to Leave — Not Every Job Is Worth Staying At 1 month agoSpent 3 years trying to "fix" my partner. Therapy helped me realize I was trying to change them into who I wanted them to be, not accepting who they actually were. The relationship ended, but the lesson stayed.
You Can't Change People, Only How You Respond to Them 1 month agoI email myself a PDF with every document — passport, visa, travel insurance policy number with the claims hotline, and the address of the nearest embassy. Travel Safety Essentials — Before You Leave Home 2 months agoВ 32 года уволился с хорошей работы, расстался с девушкой и переехал в другой город за три месяца. Все думали, что у меня кризис. Я сам думал, что у меня кризис. Через год стало ясно, что это была просто давно откладываемая перезагрузка.
An Existential Crisis Is Not a Breakdown — It Is a Recalibration 2 months agoHad my existential crisis at 27. Thought something was broken. Turns out it was growth. The old story of who I was stopped fitting, and the new one hadn't formed yet. The gap is terrifying but necessary.
An Existential Crisis Is Not a Breakdown — It Is a Recalibration 3 months agoI saved my emergency contacts as ICE (In Case of Emergency) in my phone. Paramedics actually look for this. Also added my blood type and allergies to the medical ID on my lock screen.
Emergency Numbers — Why You Should Save Them Now 4 months agoThe shift that made it stick for me: I stopped trying to prep full meals and just prepped components — cooked grains, roasted veg, marinated protein. Then dinner is 10 minutes of assembling, not 45 minutes of cooking from scratch.
Meal Prep Basics: How to Cook Once and Eat Well All Week 4 months agoПопробовала дневник благодарности — продержалась три дня. Зашёл другой формат: каждое утро в душе называю вслух одно конкретное, что было хорошего вчера. Не пишу, просто говорю. Уже полгода без пропуска.
