Even with privacy settings, your posts can be screenshot, shared, or seen by friends-of-friends you've never met. Burglars have openly admitted to using social media to find targets. Enjoy your trip, take all the photos you want, and share the highlights when you're back home with your door locked. If you must post in real time, at least avoid showing specific departure and return dates.
