When Values Clash, Affection Is Not Enough

You can love someone deeply and still be fundamentally incompatible on how you want to live. If your core values don't align -- on money, children, religion, ambition, honesty -- love alone won't bridge the gap. Affection makes you want to stay; shared values are what make staying work. This is one of the hardest truths in relationships: the feeling can be real and the fit can still be wrong. Choosing to walk away from love because the values don't match isn't failure -- it's one of the bravest things a person can do.
The point
You can love someone and still be fundamentally incompatible -- affection alone cannot bridge a values gap.
