Your Feelings Are Valid, but They're Not Always Accurate

A feeling is real the moment you feel it — that part is never in question. But the story your mind builds around it might be completely wrong. "I feel like nobody cares" is a genuine experience. It doesn't mean nobody actually cares. Validating an emotion and believing the interpretation it comes with are two different things. You can honor the feeling without accepting the narrative.
