Closure Is Something You Give Yourself

Waiting for the other person to explain, apologize, or say the right thing hands them power over your healing. The conversation you're waiting for may never come — and even when it does, it rarely delivers what you hoped. Closure is a decision, not a delivery. It comes from you choosing to accept that the story ended, even without a satisfying final scene. You don't need their permission to stop waiting. You can write the last page yourself.
The point
Closure rarely comes from the other person — it comes from you deciding the story is over.
