Pay Attention to Bulb Color Temperature — Warm for Living, Cool for Work

Color temperature makes a bigger difference than brightness. Use warm bulbs (2700-3000K) in bedrooms, living rooms, and dining areas for relaxation. Use cool bulbs (4000-5000K) in kitchens, bathrooms, and workspaces for alertness. Mixing warm and cool bulbs in the same room creates an uneasy feeling you might not be able to pinpoint but will definitely sense. Check the Kelvin rating on the box before buying.
The point
Use warm light (2700-3000K) for relaxation spaces and cool light (4000-5000K) for work areas — never mix them in one room.
