Read the Ingredient List, Not Just the Marketing Claims

"Natural," "wholesome," "farm-fresh" — these words on packaging are marketing, not regulation. The ingredient list is where the truth lives. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few entries tell you what the product mostly is. If sugar appears in the top three under any of its many names — high-fructose corn syrup, dextrose, maltose, cane juice — you're eating something very different from what the front label suggests. This takes five seconds and changes what ends up in your cart.
The point
Packaging claims are marketing — the ingredient list, ordered by weight, tells you what you're actually eating.
