Social media apps are engineered for maximum engagement — instant loading, infinite scroll, push notifications, and algorithms tuned to keep you swiping. The browser version of the same platform is intentionally worse: slower, clunkier, no push notifications. That is exactly why you should use it.
By deleting the app and only accessing social media through your phone browser, you add just enough friction to break the automatic habit loop. You can still check it when you intentionally want to — but you will stop opening it 30 times a day on autopilot. The content is identical. The experience is deliberately less addictive.
