Motivation Follows Action, Not the Other Way Around

Most people wait until they feel motivated to start. But in practice, motivation usually shows up after you begin. Taking even a small step — opening the document, putting on your shoes — creates momentum that pulls you forward.
You don't need to feel ready. You just need to start.
The point
Start before you feel ready — motivation builds once you begin moving.

This is the advice I wish I got at 18. I waited years for motivation to start exercising. Then one day I just put on shoes and walked out the door. Motivation showed up around minute 10. It's been 2 years now.
The "just put on shoes" trick works for so many things. Lower the bar until it feels stupid easy.
