Keep a Flashlight by Your Bed, Not Just Your Phone

H howtolive.guide ·

When the power goes out at 3 AM or you smell smoke in the dark, you don't want to be fumbling for your phone, unlocking it, and squinting at a dim screen. A dedicated flashlight by your bedside is faster to grab, far brighter, lasts much longer on batteries, and won't die because you forgot to charge it overnight. Your phone is also your communication lifeline — drain the battery on its flashlight and you may not be able to call for help. Get a small LED flashlight, put it in the same spot every night, and check the batteries every six months.

The point
A dedicated flashlight is faster, brighter, and more reliable than your phone when you need light in an emergency.
