What to Do With Your Fridge and Pantry Before You Move Out

H Pavel Volkov · howtolive.guide ·

Moving day always arrives faster than expected, and a full fridge is one more thing you do not want to deal with at the last minute. Start eating down your stock two to three weeks before the move, planning meals around what needs to go rather than what sounds appetizing.

Stop buying perishables about a week out — treat it as a countdown, not a shopping ban. In the final days, cook from the freezer and the back of the pantry. Whatever you cannot use or take with you, give to a neighbor or a food bank instead of throwing it away.

The point
Start eating down your fridge and pantry two to three weeks before moving day, and give away what you cannot finish.
