Keep a 'Done' List Next to Your To-Do List for Motivation

H howtolive.guide ·

To-do lists have a frustrating quality: they only show what's left. No matter how much you accomplish, the list seems to grow, and at the end of the day, you focus on what you didn't finish rather than what you did.

Keep a "done" list alongside your to-do list. Every time you complete something — even small things — write it down. At the end of the day, review it. You'll find that seeing your progress in black and white is surprisingly motivating, especially on days when it felt like you got nothing done.

The point
At the end of the day, seeing what you accomplished is more powerful than staring at what remains.
