Respect Good Arguments from People You Dislike

Intellectual honesty means evaluating ideas on their own merit, not by who delivers them. If your opponent makes a valid point, acknowledge it — at least to yourself. Dismissing good reasoning because it comes from the wrong camp doesn't make you principled; it makes you tribal. The strongest thinkers are the ones who can say "that's a fair point" to someone they disagree with on everything else.
The point
Evaluate ideas by their merit, not by the identity of who presents them.
