Divide Chores by 'Who Hates It Less,' Not by Strict 50/50

Perfect equality in chores is a trap. You can't measure it precisely, and trying to breeds scorekeeping, which breeds resentment. A better approach: divide tasks by who minds them less. One person might not mind laundry but despise dishes; the other is the opposite. When each person does what they find least painful, the total misery drops dramatically -- even if the split isn't perfectly "fair" on paper.
The point
Dividing chores by who minds each task less reduces total household misery better than strict equality.
