What to Do When Your Values Conflict

You want freedom and security. Honesty and kindness. Ambition and presence. Eventually, two things you deeply care about will pull you in opposite directions — and no clever trick will let you have both fully at the same time.

The goal is not to eliminate the tension but to choose which value gets priority in this specific moment, knowing the other will have its turn.
