A Good Life Doesn't Have to Look Good From the Outside

Some of the richest inner lives belong to people with modest outward appearances. The teacher who reads voraciously, the carpenter who mentors neighbourhood kids, the retiree who tends a garden and writes letters to old friends. None of this photographs well. None of it trends.
The trap is building a life that looks meaningful to others rather than one that feels meaningful to you. Approval is a poor compass. If your daily life is full of things you care about, you've already won — even if nobody claps.
The point
A fulfilling life often looks unremarkable from the outside — don't mistake visibility for value.
