Ask Someone What They Think You Are Good At
Left alone with your own head, you tend to weigh yourself against what you have not done yet — the goals unmet, the doubts unresolved. It is a distorted mirror. Other people, especially those who know you well, often see a version of you that is clearer and kinder than the one you carry around.
Ask someone you trust, plainly: what do you think I am good at? Let their answer sit with you before you argue with it. You are not asking for flattery — you are asking for a second set of eyes on a life you cannot fully see from the inside.
The point
Your own view of yourself is a distorted mirror — ask someone who knows you well what they actually see.
