Learning in Public: Why Sharing Helps You Learn Faster

Learning in private feels safe. Nobody sees your mistakes, your confusion, your half-formed ideas. But that safety comes at a cost: you miss the fastest feedback loop available — other people. When you share what you're learning — a blog post, a tweet, a conversation — you force yourself to organize your thoughts, and others correct your blind spots for free.
You don't need to be an expert to share. Write about what you learned today, not what you've mastered. Here's what I'm figuring out is more honest and more useful than here's what I know. The people one step behind you will benefit from your notes, and the people one step ahead will point out what you missed. Both accelerate your learning more than studying alone ever could.
The point
Sharing what you learn forces you to organize your thoughts and invites feedback that catches blind spots faster than studying alone.
