Summarize Long Voice Messages With a Text for the Recipient

Voice messages are convenient for the sender but often inconvenient for the recipient. They cannot be skimmed, searched, or easily referenced later. A two-minute voice message might contain one actionable piece of information buried in filler. And if the person is in a meeting, on public transport, or simply without headphones, they cannot listen at all.
If you send a voice message longer than about thirty seconds, follow it with a brief text summary: "Voice msg above: I can't make Thursday, can we move to Friday at 3?" It takes ten seconds to type and saves the recipient from replaying your message three times to find the point.
The point
After sending a long voice message, add a brief text summary so the recipient can quickly grasp the key point without replaying.
