Adult Siblings Need Deliberate Effort Too
While you lived under the same roof, staying close to a sibling took no effort at all -- proximity did the work for you. Once you move out, get busy, or start families of your own, closeness stops being automatic, and without a call or a visit, months slide by unnoticed.
Shared childhood and blood don't guarantee an adult friendship -- you still have to build one, the way you would with anyone else you want to stay close to. Reach out first, ask real questions, and treat the bond as something you keep choosing.
The point
Sibling closeness in adulthood isn't automatic -- it survives only if someone keeps choosing to reach out.
