Your Life Does Not Need to Impress Your Younger Self

There is a subtle trap in measuring your life against the expectations of who you were at twenty. That version of you did not know what you know now. They had different fears, different definitions of success, and a much smaller understanding of what actually makes life rich.
You are allowed to want different things than you once did. A life that would disappoint your younger self might be exactly the life your current self needs — quieter, slower, less impressive on paper but infinitely more meaningful in practice. Let the younger you be proud of your growth, not your obedience to their blueprint.
The point
You have outgrown the person who set your original expectations — let your current self define what a good life looks like.
