You Can Live a Good Life Without a Clear Purpose

The idea that life requires a grand purpose to be worthwhile is one of the most persistent and damaging myths of modern culture. Plenty of deeply satisfied people do not have a capital-P Purpose. They have interests, relationships, small joys, and a willingness to show up for the day in front of them.
A good life can be built from simple ingredients: meaningful connection, work you do not hate, the occasional afternoon where nothing needs to happen. You do not owe the world a mission statement. You owe yourself the honesty to live by what genuinely matters to you, even if it fits on no inspirational poster.
The point
You do not need a grand mission to live well — meaningful connection and simple joys are more than enough.
