Never Put a Garment in the Dryer if the Stain Hasn't Fully Gone

Dryer heat sets stains permanently into fabric — once baked in, almost nothing will get them out. Always check stained items after washing and before drying. If the stain is still visible, even faintly, treat it again and wash one more time. It's worth the extra cycle. Once a stained garment goes through the dryer, you've almost certainly lost that battle for good.
The point
Check for stains after washing but before drying — dryer heat sets them permanently.
