Turn Off Precise Location When Approximate Is Enough

Most apps that need your location work perfectly fine with an approximate one. A weather app does not need to know your exact apartment — your city is enough. A food delivery app only needs precision when you are actively ordering, not all the time.
Both iOS and Android now let you grant "approximate location" instead of precise. This one toggle gives apps what they need to function while keeping them from building a detailed map of exactly where you sleep, work, and spend your time. Use precise location only for navigation and ride-hailing — everything else gets approximate.
The point
Most apps work fine with approximate location — switch off precise access to stop them from mapping your exact movements.
