Don't Gossip at Work — It Always Gets Back to the Wrong Person

Venting about a colleague might feel cathartic in the moment, but workplace gossip has an almost perfect track record of reaching its subject. The colleague who eagerly listens to you badmouth someone today will eagerly repeat it tomorrow. It erodes trust, poisons team dynamics, and quietly marks you as someone who can't be trusted with sensitive information. If you have a genuine concern about someone, raise it with them directly or with your manager -- never with the audience most likely to spread it.
The point
Workplace gossip always travels further than you intend and damages your reputation more than theirs.
