You Do Not Have to Be Famous for Your Data to Be Worth Stealing
It is easy to assume no one would bother targeting you — you are not rich, not famous, not interesting enough for a hacker's attention. But almost no attack today is personal. Bots scan millions of addresses a day looking for reused passwords, unpatched software, or an open door, and they do not check first whether you are worth the effort.
You are not too boring to be a target — you are simply a convenient one. Treat basic protection as something everyone needs, not a precaution reserved for people with something special to hide.
The point
Most attacks are automated and do not check whether you are interesting — being an easy target is enough.
