Turn On Two-Factor Authentication Everywhere — It Takes Minutes

H howtolive.guide ·

A password alone is a single lock on your front door. Two-factor authentication adds a deadbolt. Even if someone steals your password, they cannot get in without the second factor — usually a code from your phone. Enable it on every account that offers it, starting with email, banking, and social media.

The setup takes two minutes per account. The minor inconvenience of entering a code at login is negligible compared to the catastrophe of a hacked account. Authenticator apps are more secure than SMS codes, but even SMS is vastly better than nothing. Do it today — the accounts you protect now are the ones you will not have to recover later.

The point
Two-factor authentication takes two minutes to set up and makes your accounts dramatically harder to hack.

My friend's Instagram was hacked and used to scam her contacts. She didn't have 2FA. I do, and sleep better because of it. Takes 2 minutes to set up, prevents months of cleanup.
