Think Before You Post — The Internet Never Truly Forgets

H howtolive.guide ·

What you post online today can resurface years from now — in a job interview, a legal dispute, a personal conflict, or simply as a cringe memory that will not go away. Deleted does not mean gone. Screenshots spread. Archives exist. Cached versions persist. Someone, somewhere, may have already saved it.

Before posting anything emotional, controversial, or highly personal, apply a simple test: would I be comfortable if my employer, my family, or a stranger read this in five years? If the answer is no, either rewrite it or do not post it. The internet gives everyone a megaphone — but it does not come with an undo button.

The point
Everything you post can be screenshotted and cached forever — pause and ask if you would be comfortable with it resurfacing in five years.
