Passkeys are the replacement for passwords that the tech industry has been trying to build for decades. Instead of you remembering a string of characters, your device creates a unique cryptographic key pair. You authenticate with your fingerprint, face, or device PIN — and the passkey does the rest. You cannot be phished because there is nothing to type into a fake site.
Most major platforms — Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon — already support passkeys. You do not need to switch everything overnight. Start with your most important accounts: email, banking, cloud storage. Each one you convert is one fewer password that can be stolen, guessed, or leaked.
The point
Passkeys replace passwords with cryptographic keys tied to your device — start enabling them on your most important accounts.
