Audit App Permissions on Your Phone Every Few Months

H howtolive.guide ·

Most apps ask for permissions when you first install them, and you tap "Allow" without thinking because you want to use the app right now. Over time, you end up with dozens of apps that can access your camera, microphone, contacts, and location — even ones you barely use.

Every few months, go to your phone's privacy settings and review what each app can access. You will be surprised how many apps have permissions they do not need. A flashlight app does not need your contacts. A weather app does not need your microphone. Revoke anything that does not make sense.

The point
Apps accumulate permissions you forgot you granted — review and revoke unnecessary access every few months.
